Created in Southeast Asia just before a formative journey to India this painting emerged during a potent period of ritual, spiritual study, and immersion in sacred sound. Looking back, its imagery feels far more prophetic than I understood at the time.

Guided by unseen energies and a tapestry of sacred sound and color, symbolic imagery revealed its primary message through this intuitive painting—its purpose understood days after completion during a peculiar healing session.

A painting that unfolds as a three-part journey of dragon and phoenix, water and fire, where mythic research—from East Asian dragon-phoenix lore to Daoist inner alchemy and Rosicrucian water-marriage—meets intimate reflection and evolving insight.

This work was born in fire—mirroring both the unrelenting wildfires across California and the quiet collapse of my own world. Upon stepping back from the finished piece, imagery emerged and some later seen only through distance and reflection. From destruction rises a story of grief, perception, and the quiet resilience that renews and reshapes life into unexpected forms.
