Parting the Veil
A Living Canvas Where Sound, Astrological Alignments, and Sacred Intention Weave Together an Ever-unfolding Story of Earth and Cosmos
Parting the Veil
I began painting with a growing sense of intention—setting a sacred focus and inviting my guides to move through the brushes, knives, or whatever tool met the canvas. Nothing was predetermined; each stroke emerged through meditative, intuitive flow. At the time, I was immersed in daily sound-healing practices with crystal bowls and other sacred instruments, creating the perfect energetic setting for visionary art.
This painting began on October 12, 2021. Early symbols and forms surfaced quickly, each connecting in peculiar ways to the days that followed. Its colors mirrored the next evening’s Sanur sunset—a resemblance I noticed while sitting on the beach. Soon after, the cosmic blue and green tones of a book cover, The New Human: Awakening to Our Cosmic Heritage, by Mary Rodwell, caught my eye during a Q &A video by Elena Danaan, Return of the Seeders. I photographed these coincidences as they appeared, each hinting toward the sky and the cosmos beyond Earth.
Beginning stages of the Parting the Veil, October 12, 2021
Many images appeared immediately, yet the painting kept evolving for weeks. A green face with blue hair emerged first, the figure-8 motions and a letter “e” clearly equating to energy, that added infinite depth across the canvas center. In the bottom right corner, a striking blue being became prominent.
When I finally stepped back and felt its conclusion, a powerful blue-and-white sea-like creature seemed to surge over the green-faced figure, like foamy water shooting upward, echoing seismographic waves. The blue being’s visage felt owl-like, radiating wisdom. When rotated and viewed from a different direction I saw what looked like a seal or a sea otter poking its head above the surface. Other beings gradually revealed themselves, layering new dimensions of meaning.
Years later, the painting still offers fresh revelations, like pieces of an endless puzzle. Much of its wisdom speaks beyond words, resonating at a soul level through coded colors and forms. Its story intertwines astrological alignments, visionary archetypes, planetary energies, and esoteric correspondences with the natural and celestial worlds.
In early October 2021, the New Moon in Libra opened the month’s cycle. Around that time, Mercury was conjunct Arcturus—a star Edgar Cayce described as home to the galaxy’s highest civilization, noted by astrologer Pam Gregory. Perhaps this alignment brought a galactic download, light codes embedded in the painting to help awaken transformation and bring guidance.
Meanwhile, Neptune moved retrograde through Pisces, stirring inner vision and heightened sensitivity. Later that month, Venus squared Neptune, a dreamy tension that fuels mystical art, followed by a Venus–Jupiter sextile offering uplift and harmony. These cosmic influences seem to echo through the painting’s layered unfolding.
Perhaps those alignments infused the work with their resonance, pointing to a story also unfolding on Earth at the time. In hindsight, the guided choice of red, white, and blue could have been a symbolic form of communication. Perhaps representing location and not only the elements but also the rising, fiery seismic energy (both metaphorically and literally) that was being stirred in parts of the world.
As the canvas is rotated, new images surface, as if the painting itself is telling a story across shifting dimensions of perception. Its full message is still unveiling, much as it unfolded in rhythm with the cosmos, telling a story to those tuned into its frequency in four distinct chapters.
